Giang Le

Giang Le is a professional in the field of disability support and advocacy with over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Disability Policy and Practice from Flinders University, South Australia, and currently serving as an Equitable Learning Services Advisor at RMIT Vietnam since 2022. Giang has contributed to initiatives that enhances public awareness, employment opportunities, and healthcare access for children with disability and their families. Her research involvement includes evaluating early identification and intervention programs for children with intellectual and developmental disability in Vietnam. This work has also aided in the development of training programs for health professionals in this field. Giang has a keen interest and expertise in disability awareness and discourse, inclusive language and communication, and equitable access to healthcare and education.

Melanie Casul

Melanie possesses 24 years of experience as a seasoned educator in tertiary institutions, notably at top Asian universities such as De La Salle University Manila, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, and RMIT University Vietnam. Complementing this, she offers 31 years of rich multi-media communication experience, having collaborated with global brands including Channel [V], Nickelodeon, MNG, The Amazing Race TV Franchise, Discovery Channel, Google, Disney, and IKEA.
In 2022, Melanie transitioned into professional student services, currently serving as an Equitable Learning and Accessibility Advisor at RMIT Vietnam. Committed to continuous professional development, Melanie has upskilled through specialized short-term programs, gaining expertise in Motivational Interviewing, Leadership (First-Time Supervisors), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills, and Disability & Accessibility best practices through Universal Design for Learning. She is a Board Member of Special Education Network & Inclusion Association (SENIA), HCMC, Vietnam Chapter and is an Organizational Member of International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP).
Her extensive and varied experience significantly enhances her cross-cultural leadership and strategic insight for contextualized application in diverse environments.

Carla Rawlins
Workplace Adjustment Officer at RMIT University (Australia)

Carla Rawlins is a passionate advocate for accessibility and inclusion, particularly for individuals who are neurodivergent or living with rare and undiagnosed diseases (RUD). Carla's personal experiences have fueled her dedication to ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their neurological differences or health conditions, can live fulfilling lives free from physical, attitudinal, and digital barriers.
With nearly five years of experience in the disability employment sector at Vision Australia, Carla has focused on promoting and helping implement the concept of organisational adoption of a diversified workforce as hiring staff with disabilities can drive business growth, productivity and nurture a positive work culture.
From January 2024, Carla has transitioned to a new role as a Workplace Adjustments Officer at RMIT University. In this capacity, she continues her mission to promote accessibility and inclusion by ensuring that workplaces are accommodating and supportive environments for all individuals, including those with disabilities.
Carla Rawlins has been honoured with the 2024 Francis Award for Excellence in recognition of her commitment to making a positive impact at RMIT. Alongside Mat Lewis, Manager, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access, she received the 2025 AHEIA Award for Workplace Culture Excellence as part of the IDEA team. She is currently pursuing a Master of Disability and Inclusion at Deakin University in Victoria.

Timothy Beevor
Technology Strategist at RMIT University (Australia)

Timothy is a dedicated accessibility mentor, bringing advanced expertise in artificial intelligence and a wealth of experience in digital transformation. Since 2016, Timothy has been a key contributor to RMIT's technology transformation, driving innovation initiatives and fostering great digital capability uplifts. Timothy has a strong background in technology leadership right from strategy to practical execution.

Tu Nguyen Tuan
Equitable Learning & Accessibility Advisor at RMIT Wellbeing

Tu is the first student with a significant disability at RMIT University Vietnam graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business (Business Information Systems) (Applied). He is currently working at RMIT as an Equitable Learning & Accessibility Advisor in Hanoi. His primary responsibilities include assessing students’ needs and provides reasonable adjustments, as well as helping staff improve the accessibility of their activities and learning materials. Before RMIT, Tu worked as a diversity and inclusion supervisor for Saitex International, a denim manufacturing company where he led the development of an inclusive hiring strategy to ensure that 20% of the workforce included individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those with disabilities. His expertise is further enhanced by the completion of AUNDPPnet Universal Design and Accessibility Training in 2019 and WCAG Training in 2022.

Tuan Nguyen

Tuan Nguyen holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Teacher Education from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Vietnam, and a Master's degree in Inclusive Education from Flinders University, South Australia. Tuan has a visual impairment caused by an eye disease. He shared that while blindness brings certain inconveniences, it also offers him a unique perspective and interesting experiences. He is passionate about fostering inclusion and accessibility, and believes that small yet appropriate adjustments can create a significant impact and help break down barriers.

Simon O'Donoghue
Inclusion Diversity Equity & Accessibility Advisor at RMIT Wellbeing

Simon graduated in Psychology and Counselling and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. After working as a secondary school teacher in the UK, he transitioned to the not-for-profit sector, where he developed successful therapeutic programs for patients with severe mental health conditions and a leading UK women's rights organization.
Simon's career path led him to focus on human rights, particularly in ensuring equitable treatment for underrepresented groups. His efforts resulted in significant reforms to address societal-level discrimination in the UK. Most recently, he served as an IDEA lead for prominent organizations in the UK, including a major homelessness charity and King's College Hospital and University. In these roles, he gained national recognition as a thought leader in the IDEA field, implementing projects that promoted equitable treatment for vulnerable populations.
